Early Cross Country Dismissal
Cross Country runners need to be dismissed for their meet today at 2:30. They will get dressed and wait for the bus to come pick them up.
RJHS Girl Basketball
Attention JH Girls interested in playing basketball this year. There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday during Learning Lab in the cafeteria. Please check in with your teacher for attendance and report to the cafeteria. Girls basketball tryouts will be held on September 10th and 11th from 3:15 - 4:45.
Rochester VFW Essay Contest
The Rochester VFW is once again supporting the VFW Voice of Democracy audio-essay contest. This year's theme is "Is America Today our Forefathers' Vision?" Scholarship prizes will be awarded at the local, state, and finally a $35,000 national grand prize winner. Information and entry forms can be picked up outside Mrs. Rezba’s room. Entries must be submitted to Mrs. Rezba by October 30.

RJHS Student Council
Hello! Are you a leader who has fun ideas for the school and wants to help make RJHS a better place? If so, the RJHS student council needs you! Please fill out this application if you are interested in being a member of our student council for the 2024-25 school year. Applications are due by Friday, August 30th at 3:05 PM. The Cafeteria Deli is Open
Students now have the opportunity to have fresh deli sandwiches made for them in the cafeteria. Come in and let the staff know how you would like your sandwich to be made.

The 2024-25 Athletic Senior Passes will be available again this year! Get yours at the home games. Cash or check made payable to RHS. Good for RHS and RJHS home events. (Tournaments and Post Season games are not included)

ROCHESTER FUTURE CHEERLEADING CLINIC: Kindergarten-6th Graders
Clinic Date: Tuesday, September 24th from 3:30-4:45 p.m. (2-3 Building)
Performance Date: Friday, September 27th, halftime of the Varsity Football Game (Start of Varsity game is at 7:00 p.m.). Please see attached link for waiver and more information about the clinic and performance. Payment can be made using the following link! Payment Link. Attendance Reminder
Dr./Dentist/Ortho. Notes
Make sure that Doctor’s notes are being brought to the Jr High office after the appointment or if your student has been sick. That note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE to a doctor excuse - AD. Remember that students get 10 parent excused absences (AE) in a school year. After 10 they will be considered unexcused (UU). You can have your student bring in the note to the office or you can email the note to cjones@rochester3a.net .
Mental Health Days: you are allowed 5 mental health days in a school year, but those are also part of your 10 excused absences (AE) that were mentioned above. If 10 absences have been taken, all absences going forward will be marked as unexcused unless there is a doctor’s note for that day.
