Fifth Grade Chorus
There is rehearsal after school today, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:15-5:30 PM. If you need to contact your parents, see Mr. McCafferty during lunch.
Congratulations Again to the 4th Grade Classes for an impressive win in our LIbrary “Link to Learn” Hot Air Balloon Race! Several hundred red links added weekly helped push the 4th grade hot air balloon past the finish line again! The “Traveling Hot Air Balloon” will remain again in the 4th grade hallway to celebrate their win!
All 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students as well as teachers are encouraged to continue to add links to their link chain as we begin a new race.

5th Grade Chorus
This week we'll start a series of rehearsals with Fifth Grade Chorus kiddos for our upcoming production of:
"Shh! We're Writing The Constitution”
Rehearsals this coming week
March 7-11... Monday-Friday
3:15-5:30 PM in the RIS Music Room.

The shortened period of rehearsals are critical to the success of our show. If you need to pick your kids up early (or drop off for portions of the rehearsals) that is fine!
Students may bring a light snack -we will go outside for a snack break around 4:00

Gold Rush
All Fourth Grade students will be performing “GOLD RUSH” - a musical production "LIVE" in-person at 2:00 PM on March 17th!
*The wearing of masks is up to each individual guest!
**The production will still be recorded, mixed and posted on Canvas and the RIS PTO Facebook page later this Spring!
The “Big Show” is on March 17th at 2:00 PM in the RIS Gymnasium!
We're so very excited and looking forward to a live performance!
More details will be shared later this week!
Band Booster’s Pizza Build
The Rochester Band Booster's Pizza Build takes place in the Rochester Methodist Church Gymnasium on Saturday, March 12. The pizza assembly line starts at 8 AM and should be finished by 10. We need a lot of helpers....please bring a ball cap and your pizza building skills....It's a ton of fun! See Mr. Jones or Mrs. Parker with any questions. Pick up will start at 10:30 for those students/families that turned in orders.

RYAA 2022 softball registration is now open (see link below)!
There is an early bird discount available to those registering before February 28.
We are fielding 8u, 10u, 12u, and 14u teams. A softball skills day is being planned to kickoff the season (Late March/early April date to follow).
Our program plays in the Riverton league. Practices usually start in early April with games being played in mid May through the end of June. Games are located in the communities of Riverton, Rochester, Sherman, Athens, Petersburg, and Pleasant Plains.
We are looking forward to a great season full of softball skills advancement, learning teamwork, building confidence, and streamlining the rec program.
