If you need a loaner chromebook, please visit the Tech Office before 8:30am.

It is important to remember your chromebook daily and to bring it charged and ready for class.  Please carry your chargers in your case so if your battery gets low at the end of the day you can charge it.  We are seeing more students for loaners everyday and only have a limited number of chromebooks.

A reminder that ALL RIS Library Books are to be returned to the RIS LIbrary this week!  Any Library books that are not returned or lost must be paid for as a replacement .

● Tryouts will be Monday, July 31st and Tuesday August 1st from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Rochester Park.  Tryouts are for 7th and 8th graders at this moment.

● Players will be notified (via email) Wednesday August 2nd (by 10:00am at the latest) if they made the team or not.

● Practices will begin Wednesday, August 2nd. They will be held from 5:00pm - 7:00pm prior to the beginning of school.  Once games are set, I will provide a schedule of practice times (if no game, practice is typically from 3:30pm - 5:00pm at Rochester Park.

● Players must have a current physical to participate in tryouts/practice. If you are not sure, please contact Kim Hauck in the athletic office at khauck@rochester3a.net. If we do not have a copy of your physical at the time of tryouts you will not be able to try out for the team.

● If a potential player is not able to attend tryouts he will not be considered for our team.

● Please take the time to consider any travel plans you may make for the end of the summer, beginning of fall.  We have a short season (July 31st - October 4th) and it is important that every player attends all practices and games.

● Parents will need to register players on the Rschool website prior to tryouts.

● Please make sure to dress properly for tryouts!  Wear pants and wear a hat.  Make sure to have your own water and equipment (there is usually no water down at the park unless the concession stand is open)

Please email me with any questions you may have prior to the beginning of the season. We will hold a formal parent/player meeting after the first day of practice (August 2nd).

RYAA Cheer

Registration is now open! Available Programs (ryaasports.org)

We will have a 1st/2nd grade squad, 3rd/4th grade squad and a 5th/6th grade squad. Please register based on grade entering for school year 23-24. We will have at least one squad per age group but, if there is enough interest and volunteer coaches, we can have an additional squad. Registration closes May 31st.

A kickoff meeting will be held at the beginning of June where measurements will be taken for uniforms.

An all-day camp will be held in June and practices will begin the week of July 10th. Practices will be twice a week and depend on the coach's' schedules. The squads will cheer at the Rochester JFL games which begin in the middle of August. We won't know the schedule until the first part of August. Games run through mid-October.

The registration cost covers camp, gym usage, insurance, and website costs. The uniform will be an additional $265 (approximately) due at the time of ordering. Last year's uniform design will be used and those who have outgrown their uniform will have them for purchase at our kickoff meeting. You can choose to purchase from last year's girls to help save money. The Bow to Toe package includes a shell, crop, skirt, briefs, warmups, shoes, poms, bow, bag, shirt, and shorts. Fundraising ideas are being developed to help reduce the cost.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Cheer@RYAASports.org
