DOUBLE BUS ROUTES, 1-24-23

RHS riders on Bus #3 please wait in the HS cafeteria after school until your shuttle bus arrives to pick you up and take you home. PLEASE DIRECT ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING LATE BUSES TO THE BUS GARAGE. THEY CAN BE REACHED AT (217) 498-9834.

JOSTENS RING DELIVERY INFO - CLASS OF 2025

Jostens will be at RHS delivering class rings to those students who ordered them TODAY, Tuesday, January 24 during Rocket Time in the HS Commons!  Please make sure your order is paid in full prior to picking up your ring.  If you have a balance, please contact Jostens at 217-483-8989.  If you have any questions concerning picking up your ring, please contact Mrs. Tucker at stucker@rochester3a.net.


MUSICAL INFORMATION

There will be Musical Practice after school today in the choral room for Full Cast until 5:30 p.m.  Please bring your scripts.  See Mr. Bauser if you have any questions. 


RHS PTO INFORMATION

Happy 2023! The RHS PTO is wanting to let you know of an easy way to donate to our organization. You can make a donation at PayPal - (RHS PTO @rhsrocketspto) OR you can visit our Amazon Wish List at RHS PTO Wish ListIf you order from Amazon, the items will be shipped directly to the school. The money collected helps buy supplies for the school and helps provide meals for Parent/Teacher conferences and treats during Teacher Appreciation Week. Any donation is greatly appreciated! 


ROCHESTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FUNDRAISER ITEM PICK-UP

The RES Final Fundraiser Item Pick Up will be on Thursday, January 26 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the RES 2/3 Building Recreation Room.  You will need to enter the building from the Recreation Room entrance on the outside of the building to the left of the double doors that lead to the Gym.  Please make every effort to attend this pick-up if possible.  Thank You!

SADIE HAWKINS DANCE

The RHS Student Council will be sponsoring a Sadie Hawkins Dance on Saturday, February 18 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. in the MPR. Only RHS students will be allowed to attend and you must have your student ID upon entry. The cost is $10 per student and will be collected at the door. 


CHAPERONES NEEDED

The RHS Student Council is looking for a few parents to help chaperone the Sadie Hawkins Dance on Saturday, February 18 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. in the MPR. If you are interested, please email Becky Leonard at rleonard@rochester3a.net. 


ROCHESTER EDUCATION FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER

ROCHESTER FUTURE CHEERLEADING CLINIC: Kindergarten-6th Graders

Clinic Date: Monday, January 30 from 3:30-4:45 p.m. (2-3 Building) 

Performance Date: Tuesday, January 31st, halftime of the Varsity Basketball Game (Start of Varsity game is at 7:00 p.m.).  Please see attached link for waiver and more information about the clinic and performance. THE STEM FAIR IS BACK!

The Rochester Athletic Complex will be the site of the 2023 Central Illinois STEM Fair on Thursday March 30, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  The STEM Fair will feature science, technology, engineering, math clubs and activities from Rochester and throughout Central Illinois.  This event is free and open to all K-12 students and their families from Rochester and other area schools. To reserve your free ticket for you and your family, go to Ticket Reservations and click on Reserve a spot.  Teachers, if you would like to exhibit your STEM curriculum or after school activity, answer YES to the exhibitor question on the ticket reservation to claim your spot.  If you have questions, please contact Sheril Flynn or Stephanie Zeidler, or email rochesterstemfair@gmail.com.

DOCTORS NOTES

Please make sure that doctor’s notes are being brought to Mrs. Lessman in Student Services after the appointment.  The note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE to a doctor excused absence - AD.  Students are only allowed 6 AE absences in a school year. After 6 excused absences they will be counted as unexcused absences- UU.  Please contact Mrs. Lessman in Student Services if you have questions.


PARKING

Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot.  If you park in the wrong spot, it causes a chain reaction of students not being able to park in their assigned spot.  Also, if you are driving to school, you must have a parking sticker posted in your vehicle.  Please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office to purchase a sticker.  


SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT

If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit RHS RSchool to register your athlete.  We will also need an updated physical on file.  Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
