DOUBLE BUS ROUTES, 11-7-22
RHS riders on Busses #7 and #19 please wait in the HS cafeteria after school until your shuttle bus arrives to pick you up and take you home. PLEASE DIRECT ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING LATE BUSES TO THE BUS GARAGE. THEY CAN BE REACHED AT (217) 498-9834. **REMINDER - If you need to drop off your student(s) early, the school is open at 7:30 a.m. and students should report to the cafeteria.**
CROSS COUNTRY TEAM - STATE RESULTS
This weekend the Girls Cross Country team competed in the IHSA State Championship in Peoria. The girls finished the season with a 7th place finish despite strong winds and rain. They came into the season not even ranked in the top 25 and continued to improve all year. The team was led every meet and again Saturday by senior Colleen Zeibert who earned all-state honors finishing 15th. The other runners competing included Brooke and Ashley Zeibert, Natalie Nichols, Myra Gibson, Ella Kiefer, and Addi Schmedeke. Congratulations on a great season!!
ILMEA ALL-DISTRICT RESULTS
Congratulations to the 68 Rockets who attended the ILMEA All-District Music Festival on Saturday! An extra special congratulations to Amelia Tungett, Maddy Harden, Anna Headman, Emma Buckles, Mason Miller, and Adan Nieves who were named the top scorers in the District from their chorus auditions. These six students received automatic entry into the All-State Honors Chorus in January, and an audition to perform the National Anthem at an IHSA State Playoff Game. Congratulations again to all of our outstanding ILMEA selected students!

Rochester will play AT Carterville on Saturday, November 12 at 1:30 p.m. Additional details coming soon!
DISNEY TRIP PASTRY FUNDRAISER
The annual Disney Trip Pastry Fundraiser sale is underway! You can purchase your favorite puffin pastries, pastry hearts, butter braids, or popcorn now through Monday, November 7. Money is due at the time of order and checks should be made payable to MUSIC DEPARTMENT TRIP FUND. Please see any band, choir, flags, or poms member to place an order. DOCTORS NOTES
Please make sure that doctor’s notes are being brought to Mrs. Lessman in Student Services after the appointment. The note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE to a doctor excused absence - AD. Students are only allowed 6 AE absences in a school year. After 6 excused absences they will be counted as unexcused absences- UU. Please contact Mrs. Lessman in Student Services if you have questions.
PARKING
Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. If you park in the wrong spot, it causes a chain reaction of students not being able to park in their assigned spot. Also, if you are driving to school, you must have a parking sticker posted in your vehicle. Please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office to purchase a sticker.

If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit RHS RSchool to register your athlete. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
