ROCKET COLOR BLAST 5K JUNIOR PROM FUNDRAISER
Late Registration: If you would like to participate in the Rocket Color Blast 5k but missed the sign up you still can participate! Please bring $20 (exact change or check --made out to RHS Junior Class 2024) to the 5k Event this Sunday, October 23 at the Rochester Community Park on the JFL Football Fields. Late Registration will get you into the race and color blasted -- Tshirt's NOT included so please wear your own white shirt! Are you ready for the Rocket Rally on October 26!! If you are, please come out wearing your pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it’s going to be a Pink Out Wednesday! Also, bring your spare change to the rally to add to your grade level bucket. So, we challenge YOU to try and collect money. We will donate this rallys total to a breast cancer charity. Whichever grade comes up with the most money WINS! Let’s see who gets bragging rights!

The Rochester VFW post is sponsoring the Voice of Democracy Audio Essay Contest. There are scholarship prizes available at the post, district, state and national level. Please see Mr. Fitzgerald for entry information, with audio essays due on October 31.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES - 11/2/22
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held again for RHS on Wednesday, November 2 from 3:30 - 8:30 p.m. Conferences will be held VIRTUALLY this fall. Parents should use their Skyward Family Access to schedule 15-minute virtual appointments with their student’s teachers that they would like to visit with through our video conferencing platform. After scheduling your conference(s), parents will be sent a link by the teacher for each meeting via their email. Directions on how to schedule a conference can be found here. LOW LUNCH BALANCE ALERTS
The low lunch balance alerts have been reactivated for all families. You will get an alert when your lunch balance is below $5.00. If you choose to shut off the alert, you will no longer get any school announcements.
DOCTORS NOTES
Please make sure that doctor’s notes are being brought to Mrs. Lessman in Student Services after the appointment. The note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE to a doctor excused absence - AD. Students are only allowed 6 AE absences in a school year. After 6 excused absences they will be counted as unexcused absences- UU. Please contact Mrs. Lessman in Student Services if you have questions.
PARKING
Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. If you park in the wrong spot, it causes a chain reaction of students not being able to park in their assigned spot. Also, if you are driving to school, you must have a parking sticker posted in your vehicle. Please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office to purchase a sticker.

Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes.
