RHS riders on Busses #7, #12 and #19 please wait in the HS cafeteria until your shuttle bus comes to pick you up and take you home. PLEASE DIRECT ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING LATE BUSES TO THE BUS GARAGE. THEY CAN BE REACHED AT (217) 498-9834.
ROCHESTER PUBLIC LIBRARY CARD SIGN UP FORM
The Rochester Public Library has an inter-governmental agreement that all Rochester students, regardless of address, are eligible for a student library card. Please complete this form if you would like your student to receive a Rochester Public Library Card--this is completely optional for students. Please visit their website for more information. Note: if your student already has a library card, there is no need to complete this form. If you have more than 1 student, please complete the form for each student separately. HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH ANNOUNCEMENT
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period. Over the next few weeks, we will have a word or fact of the day to share about our Hispanic Heritage.

HS PICTURE RE-TAKE DAY
There will be a Picture Make-Up and Re-Take Day today, Monday, September 26. You can order retake photos online at the following link: Interstate Ordering Link and enter the code: 71980FF. If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retakes will be produced and shipped to the school 4 weeks after Retake Day. Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. GERMAN CLUB MEETING
The German Club will have a short meeting right after school on Monday, September 26 in Ms. Catarinicchia’s room.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES - 9/28/22, 10/12/22 & 11/2/22
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held for RHS on Wednesday, September 28, Wednesday, October 12 and Wednesday, November 2 from 3:30 - 8:30 p.m. Conferences will be held VIRTUALLY this fall. Parents should use their Skyward Family Access to schedule 15-minute virtual appointments with their student’s teachers that they would like to visit with through our video conferencing platform. After scheduling your conference(s), parents will be sent a link by the teacher for each meeting via their email. Directions on how to schedule a conference can be found here. RHS JR. CLASS PROM 2023 FUNDRAISER
Please help the RHS Junior Class raise money for this year's Prom by participating in The 2nd Annual Rocket Color Blast 5k Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rochester Community Park! 21-22 YEARBOOK PICK UP INFORMATION
If you are a 2022 graduate and did not pick up your 21-22 yearbook, please contact Mrs. Tucker at stucker@rochester3a.net or 217-498-9761, Ext. 3235 to schedule a pickup time.
LOW LUNCH BALANCE ALERTS
The low lunch balance alerts have been reactivated for all families. You will get an alert when your lunch balance is below $5.00. If you choose to shut off the alert, you will no longer get any school announcements.
DOCTORS NOTES
Please make sure that doctor’s notes are being brought to Mrs. Lessman in Student Services after the appointment. The note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE to a doctor excused absence - AD. Students are only allowed 6 AE absences in a school year. After 6 excused absences they will be counted as unexcused absences- UU. Please contact Mrs. Lessman in Student Services if you have questions.
PARKING
Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. If you park in the wrong spot, it causes a chain reaction of students not being able to park in their assigned spot. Also, if you are driving to school, you must have a parking sticker posted in your vehicle. Please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office to purchase a sticker.

If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit RHS RSchool to register your athlete. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
