GENERAL INFORMATION
FCA MEETING
We will have our first FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Meeting this Sunday, September 11 at 4:30 p.m. in the RAC. Any high school student is welcome to come. The meeting usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour.
JUNIORS - PSAT/NMQST INFORMATION
Juniors, if you are interested in taking a practice SAT test, RHS will be offering the PSAT/NMQST on October 12 at 8:00 a.m. Please see Mrs. Schudel in Student Services to sign-up by September 16. The cost of the test is $18 and checks can be made out to “RHS”. PSAT/NMQST Info Sheet
HOMECOMING 2022 INFORMATION
When: Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 8:00-11:00 p.m.
Where: Rochester JH Gym
Cost: $15.00 per Person - You will pay at the door.
Guest forms for non-Rochester students to attend the Homecoming Dance will be available from Mrs. Lessman in Student Services. Guest forms will be due Wednesday, September 14 by 3:05 p.m. to Mrs. Lessman in Student Services. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Lessman.
ART CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
Art Club will begin soon! Art Club participates in such projects as Festival of Trees, school wide mural, denim painting and more! If you are interested in joining Art Club or need more information, please send Mrs. Bell an email at sbell@rochester3a.net and she will add you to the Art Club Canvas Page.
DEBATE CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
A debate club has been started at Rochester, and it will have its first official meeting next Tuesday, September 13 at 3:15 p.m. in Mrs. Bilyeu’s classroom. The club will have two meetings a month. This one will focus on choosing a topic. There will be another meeting at the end of the month which will host the first debate. Meetings are open to all, so feel free to attend!
SPANISH CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
If you filled out the form and paid your dues, you should have received an invitation to the Spanish Club on Canvas. If you did not receive it, please see Srta. Miller by the end of the week.

FINANCIAL AID NIGHT
SENIORS - Class of 2022 Financial Aid Night will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Library. Attendees may enter through the Student Services entrance.
RHS HOMECOMING PARADE
This year’s Rochester High School Homecoming Parade will be on Wednesday, September 14 at 5:30 p.m. The parade will start at the Rochester Baptist Church on State Street, will turn left on Main Street, and turn right on North Walnut and will end in the back parking lot at the high school. If you are interested in participating in the parade or need additional information, please contact Deena Powell at (217) 498-9761, Ext. 3122 during the school day or you can email at dpowell@rochester3a.net. 21-22 YEARBOOK PICK UP INFORMATION
If you are a 2022 graduate and did not pick up your 21-22 yearbook, please contact Mrs. Tucker at stucker@rochester3a.net or 217-498-9761, Ext. 3235 to schedule a pickup time.
CLUB U INFORMATION
Club U is a student community service club where your community service hours are kept in a database and reports are provided to you for college applications, National Honor Society and college scholarships. If you are interested in joining Club U or need more information, please send Mrs. Powell an email and she will add you to the Club U Canvas Page.
LOW LUNCH BALANCE ALERTS
The low lunch balance alerts have been reactivated for all families. You will get an alert when your lunch balance is below $5.00. If you choose to shut off the alert, you will no longer get any school announcements.
DOCTORS NOTES
Please make sure that doctor’s notes are being brought to Mrs. Lessman in Student Services after the appointment. The note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE to a doctor excused absence - AD. Students are only allowed 6 AE absences in a school year. After 6 excused absences they will be counted as unexcused absences- UU. Please contact Mrs. Lessman in Student Services if you have questions.
PARKING
Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. If you park in the wrong spot, it causes a chain reaction of students not being able to park in their assigned spot. Also, if you are driving to school, you must have a parking sticker posted in your vehicle. Please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office to purchase a sticker.

If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit RHS RSchool to register your athlete. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes.
