LOOKING AHEAD

SPANISH CLUB

Join the Spanish Club for fun, friends, and culture! Open to all - no Spanish class needed. Please sign up by Friday, August 22 by filling out this form and paying $5.00 dues to Srta. Miller or Sra. Veenstra. ¡Te esperamos!

GERMAN CLUB

Students interested in joining the German Club, please sign up with Frau Catarinicchia by Friday, August 22. The cost to join is $5.00.

VOLLEYBALL SCRIMMAGE

The Volleyball team will have their Orange and Blue Scrimmage on Saturday, August 23 at 10:00 a.m. in the RAC. Come watch the 2025 Varsity and JV teams play as well as the new updates in the RAC!

BOYS SOCCER SCRIMMAGE

The Boys Soccer team will have their Orange and Blue Scrimmage on Saturday, August 23 at 6:30 p.m.  There will also be an Alumni game at 5:00 p.m.  No admission fee. 

PAINT YOUR PARKING SPOT

RHS Seniors will be allowed to paint their own parking space in a way to promote school spirit on Sunday, August 24 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Designs must have already been approved.  

STUDENT PARKING

Students have received their Parking Tags and must start to park in their assigned spot on Monday, August 25.  If you come to school and there is someone parked in your spot, please park on the far side of the RAC and come into the Principal’s Office and let Mrs. Tucker know that someone is in your spot.  Please do not park in someone else’s assigned spot because that just causes more issues.  If you still need a parking spot, please complete the Parking Survey Link.

CLASS OFFICER INFORMATION

Any student  interested in being a Class Officer for the 2025-26 school year should complete the attached form by Monday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. 2025-26 Class Officer Application

FCA MEETING

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will start back up on Thursday, August 28 at 7:00 a.m. in the RAC. All are welcome to attend.

CHEM CLUB INFORMATION

If you would like to join Chem Club this year, please see the flyers around the school and Scan the QR Code. New members only.  If you have any  questions, please see Mrs. Boyer in Room 3163 - see attached FLYER

JUNIORS & SENIORS:

UIC’s College of Nursing Springfield Campus (located on the University of Illinois Springfield Campus) is hosting our "Nurse for A Day" event.  Please join us on Wednesday, September 10 as area high school students gather to learn more about becoming a nurse and nursing student in Central Illinois!  Activities will include hands-on practice in our state-of-the-art simulation labs, hearing from current nursing students and nurses, touring the UIS campus, and learning about programs and admission requirements. Lunch will be provided. Spots are limited to the first 15 students to register (there will be a waitlist.) Students please check your school email or Class Canvas page for more information and a link to sign-up.

FALL CONCESSION STAND VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are looking for student volunteers to work in the concession stands for fall sports. Student Concessions Sign Up

STUDENT PICTURES

  • Inter-State Studios - This event's Order Code is 0100WWF.  Online ordering is available before and after Picture Days.  Shipping and handling charges may apply to orders placed after Picture Days.

  • Rochester High School Picture Re-Take Day will be Monday, November 24.

ROCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT

  • Student Drop-Off after 8:05 a.m. enter via the Student Services entrance.

  • Student Pick-Up after 3:05 p.m. at the Auditorium doors.

  • Student Appointments during the school day. Students are picked up and dropped off at STUDENT SERVICES in front of the High School.

  • After 8:05 a.m., student drivers are to enter using Door 5 in the back parking lot.

  • NO RHS Students, Families or Staff may use the entrance/exit in front of the Junior High School.  Junior High School Families and Staff ONLY!

SCHOOL REGISTRATION AND FEES

Please complete the online registration and pay fees for the 25-26 school year as soon as possible. You can start by logging into your Skyward Account.


ATHLETIC INFORMATION

BASKETBALL OPEN GYMS

Basketball Open Gyms will be every Wednesday and will run through mid-October.  The open gyms will be held in the RAC from 6:00-7:00 p.m. for anyone in 3rd through 8th grade and 7:00- 8:00 p.m. for High School students and above. 

ATHLETIC REGISTRATION

We have exciting news! Rochester High School has a new athletic registration platform and athletic website.  Athletic Registrations are now open for the 2025-26 school year.  Each family will have to create a new profile and then register their students for sports. If you have any issues, please email Kim Hauck in the Athletic Office at khauck@rochester3a.net.

RHS PTO INFORMATION

The HS PTO needs your help!  The PTO is seeking donations to provide additional supplies that the HS teachers and HS Nurse need in their classrooms/office.
