NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS
DOUBLE BUS ROUTES, 4-11-24
Routes #4, #5 and #16 are double routes tonight, please wait in the HS cafeteria after school until your shuttle bus arrives to pick you up and take you home. Please direct any questions regarding late buses to the Bus Garage at (217)498-9834.
LIBRARY ANNOUNCEMENT
The library will be closed THIS MORNING, Thursday, April 11 until after first lunch.
FCA MEETING INFORMATION
We will have a FCA Meeting this Sunday, April 14 at 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the RAC. All High School students are welcome to attend.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY CEREMONY INFORMATION
Information about the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony that will be held on Sunday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m.
Attire: This is a more formal event, please avoid wearing jeans or sweatpants. You will
be walking across the stage - choose your shoes wisely.
Time: The ceremony begins at 2:00 p.m. (All NHS members should arrive to the
Auditorium no later than 1:15 p.m. - Doors for guests will be open at 1:45 p.m.
Graduation Cords: These cords have been purchased already. Members DO NOT owe
any money.
RSVP: Each NHS member received an RSVP form via email or Canvas announcement to
fill out. Members who are unable to attend the ceremony will still receive their
certificates and/or graduation cords. Ms. Murray will send out information after
the ceremony about how to pick these up.
Practice: There will be a short practice lasting no longer than 30 minutes in the
Auditorium following school on Friday, April 12. Attendance is mandatory unless
cleared through Ms. Murray.

SUMMER FOOTBALL ANNOUNCEMENT
Students interested in Summer Football: There will be an informational meeting for Parents and Players on Thursday, April 25 in the RAC to go over summer football details.
Varsity (Sophomore 2027 - Seniors 2025) will meet at 6:00 p.m. - Please arrive at 5:30 p.m. to register your player, pay your Summer fee, and look at some of the items in the BSM Team Shop including: Shoes, girdles, gloves, compression gear, etc.
Freshman (2028) will meet at 7:00 p.m. - Please arrive at 6:30 p.m. to register your player and pay your Summer fee, and look at some of the items in the BSM Team Shop including: Shoes, girdles, gloves, compression gear, etc.

RHS PTO INFORMATION
The HS PTO needs your help! The PTO is seeking donations to help provide lunch from Cafe Moxo for our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week in May. You can make a donation at PayPal - (RHS PTO @rhsrocketspto) or you can mail in a donation to - Rochester HS PTO - Attn: Heather Cook, 1 Rocket Drive, Rochester, IL 62563. The money collected helps provide lunch and treats during Teacher Appreciation Week. Any donation is greatly appreciated!

AVANTI'S FUNDRAISER
Who: Rochester High School Softball Team
What: Selling 1/2 of an Avanti’s Gondola Subs (ham, salami, cheese, & lettuce)
Cost: $5.00 per half of gondola (collected at time of order)

Pick-Up: Saturday, April 20 from 11:00-1:00 at the Rochester Athletic Complex

SENIOR CLASS PHOTOS NEEDED
We are asking that each senior provide one baby or toddler age (1-3 years old) picture and one senior picture ASAP for the video. Photos can be digital or hard copy. Please see the attached letter for additional information - Senior Photo Request Letter
SPORTS PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Sports physicals for Rochester High School athletes will be held on Tuesday, May 14 starting at 4:00 p.m. in the RAC. These physicals are for current freshman, sophomore and junior athletes. There is no charge for the physicals, which are conducted by local physicians/parents from the Rochester community and Springfield Clinic Sports Medicine. Each student athlete is required to have a physical on file before beginning practice. These physicals are good for 13 months. Each athlete must have a filled out and SIGNED IHSA history and physical form before they can receive their physical. Medical Eligibility Form Volunteer nurses are needed to help with blood pressure checks, height and weight and other pre-physical activities. If you can volunteer to help, or have questions, please contact Jessica Nika at jnika@springfieldclinic.com. There will not be a scheduled make-up date for students that cannot attend. PARKING
If you plan on driving a vehicle to school this year, you must fill out the parking survey and pay the parking fee. If you have not already completed the survey, please do so ASAP, Rochester HS Parking Survey. Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. Also, all students that park in the back lot will be required to enter through the MPR doors. Students should not be entering any of the other doors on the back side of the HS. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office.
ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES
SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT
If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit Athletic Registration to register your athlete. Please go under the 'more' tab and choose athletic registration. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
