BASEBALL MEETING
The Parent Meeting for Baseball will be next Tuesday, January 23 at 6:00 p.m. in the MPR Gym in the High School. Players are recommended to attend and one parent/guardian must attend. Please email Mr. Carlson with any questions, mcarlson@rochester3a.net.
TRUE COLORS MEETING
The next True Colors meetings will be held on Thursday, January 25 and Thursday, February 22 during Rocket Time in Room 1129, Mrs. Bell’s Art Room. True Colors is our school's student-led GSA group that aims to create a safe and welcoming environment. Any students with questions about True Colors can email either Ms. Mayer or Mrs. Bell.
CACC OPEN HOUSE
Sophomores and Juniors interested in CACC, please bring your parents/guardians and join us for an Open House on Thursday, January 25 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to tour the labs, meet the teachers, talk with current students, and see if CACC is where you want to be. Attention, ALL RHS Students - The Yearbook is now accepting applications for 2024-2025. Students who enjoy writing, photography, art, and working on a team should apply. Available spots are limited! Please fill out the Yearbook Application for 2024-2025 and request recommendations from 3 teachers, including your English teacher. All applications and teacher recommendations are due NO LATER THAN Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
JOURNALISM ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Attention ALL RHS Students - ROCKET_RECAP, the Journalism Staff, is now accepting applications for 2024-2025. Students who are dedicated, creative, and interested in communicating the local and surrounding stories to the public should apply. Available spots are limited! Please fill out the Journalism Application for 2024-2025 and request recommendations from 3 teachers, including your English teacher. RHS BASS FISHING TEAM INFORMATION
RHS Bass Fishing will hold an Informational Meeting for the spring season on Monday, February 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the RHS Commons. Those interested in participating in Bass Fishing for the spring season need to be in attendance. Parents and adult boat captains are encouraged to attend as well.
LLCC OPEN HOUSE
LLCC is holding an Open House on Monday, February 19. The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and students can attend at any point during that time frame. LLCC will be offering tours, breakout sessions on Financial Aid and how to pick a major, and many offices will be available for questions or assistance. Please see the FLYER for more information.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
SENIORS: The Rochester Youth Athletic Association (RYAA) is pleased to announce the annual Scholarship Application for 2024 is open now through Friday April 12, 2024. Graduating Seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited Vocational, Technical, two or four-year College or University for the 2024-2025 Academic School Year can apply here. You do not need to be an active or former RYAA participant to apply. Please email scholarship@ryaasports.org with any questions.
COLLEGE NOW ANNOUNCEMENT
College Now students operate on the LLCC Schedule. This means that Spring Recess follows the LLCC schedule (class meetings happen during the schools' spring breaks if they do not coincide with LLCC's) and closings (class cancellations) also follow the LLCC schedule. If LLCC is open, classes meet, regardless of what is happening in the Rochester School District. LLCC weather closing announcements are available at www.llcc.edu. ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS - DEADLINE, 2/29/24
Yearbook Senior Recognition Ads are a great way for parents, families and friends to commemorate student achievements and important milestones. In addition, revenues from Recognition Ads help our school to create a better yearbook. To purchase your ad online, follow the instructions on the attached LETTER TO PARENTS and then click on the LINK to order. There is also a YouTube Instructional Video that may be helpful to watch before placing your order. Jostens is managing your school's yearbook ad sales, so please do not contact or send materials to the school. Please take into account our school's ad content guidelines on the bottom of the attached form during the creation of your ad online. All ad orders must be placed online by 02/29/2024.

RHS PTO INFORMATION
HS Teachers need your help, kleenex and Clorox wipes are needed now to help us get through the cold and flu season! You can make a donation at PayPal - (RHS PTO @rhsrocketspto) , you can visit our Amazon Wish List at RHS PTO Wish List or you can drop off donations at Student Services. The money collected helps buy supplies for the school and helps provide meals for Parent/Teacher conferences and treats during Teacher Appreciation Week. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
PARKING
If you plan on driving a vehicle to school this year, you must fill out the parking survey and pay the parking fee. If you have not already completed the survey, please do so ASAP, Rochester HS Parking Survey. Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. Also, all students that park in the back lot will be required to enter through the MPR doors. Students should not be entering any of the other doors on the back side of the HS. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office.
ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES
SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT
If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit RHS RSchool to register your athlete. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
