MUSICAL INFORMATION
Rochester High School will present the Musical, “Back to the 80's” with a one act opening play on March 8-10, 2024. Please email Ms. Geyston with any questions at sygeyston@rochester3a.net.
Student Auditions - November 9 and 10 from 3:30-6:30 p.m.

VETERAN’S DAY ASSEMBLY
Rochester High School and Junior High School will be hosting a Veteran's Day Assembly on Friday, November 10 in the RAC. Students are welcome and encouraged to invite any family members who are Veterans. Veterans can start arriving at 2:00 p.m. to check in at the RAC and enjoy cookies and lemonade. The assembly will begin at 2:30 p.m. and will be held in the RAC. Students should complete the form that was emailed to students by Mrs. Tucker. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Tucker at stucker@rochester3a.net.
VETERANS PARKING
Veterans that will be attending the Veteran’s Day Assembly on Friday will need to drive around to the back of the High School and there will be open parking spots in front of the RAC (Rochester Athletic Complex) Building.
GENERAL INFORMATION
3RD ROUND FOOTBALL PLAYOFF GAME
Rochester will play Breese Central on Saturday, November 11 at 4:00 p.m. at Rocket Booster Stadium. Gates will open at 2:30 p.m. Admissions: Admission is set by the IHSA. Digital tickets are $7.00. Cash Tickets at the Door are $8.00. Digital tickets are only available online through GoFan. The link to the tickets can be found here - Go Fan LINK. No passes will be accepted except for those on the school-submitted team pass list.

FCA MEETING INFORMATION
There will be a FCA Meeting this Sunday November 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the RAC. All students are welcome to attend.
WRESTLING GEAR
RHS Wrestling is selling Rocket Gear! Check out their online store Wrestling Rocket Apparel. The Store is open until November 12 with delivery on November 30.

ROCTE CAREER FAIR INFORMATION
Sophomores, please check your email for information about the ROCTE Career Fair on Friday, November 17. Permission slips are available from Mrs. Schudel in Student Services and are due back to Student Services by Thursday, November 9. Informational Flyer

ILLINOIS STATE UNIVERSITY - NURSING OPEN HOUSE
Illinois State University is excited to extend an invitation to students who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing! Mennonite College of Nursing is hosting an Open House on Thursday, November 16 at our brand new Springfield location to welcome prospective students. This is a great opportunity for potential students to ask questions, tour the facility, and learn more about MCN Springfield. See the FLYER for more info.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM INFO
Due to grant funding from the Illinois State Board of Education, Rochester CUSD 3A will be opening a needs-based prekindergarten classroom in January 2024. Please see the attached FLYER for information on screenings to be considered for the program!
PARKING
If you plan on driving a vehicle to school this year, you must fill out the parking survey and pay the parking fee. If you have not already completed the survey, please do so ASAP, Rochester HS Parking Survey. Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. Also, all students that park in the back lot will be required to enter through the MPR doors. Students should not be entering any of the other doors on the back side of the HS. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office.
RHS PTO INFORMATION
You can make a donation at PayPal - (RHS PTO @rhsrocketspto) OR you can visit our Amazon Wish List at RHS PTO Wish List. The money collected helps buy supplies for the school and helps provide meals for Parent/Teacher conferences and treats during Teacher Appreciation Week. Any donation is greatly appreciated!

Please make sure that doctor’s notes are being brought to Mrs. Lessman in Student Services after the appointment.
ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES
SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT
If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit RHS RSchool to register your athlete. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
