BOYS GOLF TEAM RESULTS
Congratulations to Jacob McCloud and Talon Sperry who both qualified for Boys Golf Sectionals. Sectionals will be held on Monday, October 2. Jacob shot a team low of 81 and Talon and Dalton King shot an 84. Dalton lost a close playoff bid.
SENIOR NIGHT - BOYS SOCCER
Senior Night for the Boys Soccer Team will be held TONIGHT, Thursday, September 28 at Halftime of the Varsity Game (approximately 5:15 p.m.). Please come out and support the team and the Class of 2024!
BUS INFORMATION - 9.28.23 - Today's Update
Bus 3 and Bus 20 are being picked up by Bus 11 (sub bus) at dismissal.
Bus 4 and Bus 5 are being picked up by Bus 12 at dismissal.
Bus 10 and Bus 19 are being picked up by Bus 10 at dismissal.
Bus 12 is loading with Bus 2 at dismissal.
Bus 11 (non-daycare students) is loading with Bus 14 at dismissal.
Bus 16 and Bus 23 (outside of the early neighborhoods) are Double Routes today and those riders need to wait in the HS Cafeteria until the shuttle bus arrives to take students home. Updated transportation information for the week - PM Dismissal information.
GENERAL INFORMATION
JOSTENS GRADUATION MATERIALS
Please make sure parents/guardians look at the materials that were provided. Jostens will return next Wednesday, October 4 to collect any orders. Please watch this quick video regarding important information on ordering your 2024 Cap/Gown, Graduation Announcements, and Accessories! To order, click the link within the video Informational Video. Graduation items will be delivered to students in early Spring of 2023. If you need additional information or have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tucker at stucker@rochester3a.net.
CHEMISTRY CLUB MEETING
The first Chemistry Club Meeting will be TOMORROW, Friday, September 29 at 7:45 a.m. in Mrs. Peters’ Room (3157).
ORANGE KRUSH APPAREL
Orange Krush T-Shirts and Crewnecks! Please support the Freshman Class and buy an Orange Krush Student Section Shirt. These shirts will be worn in the Student Section on October 13 at the football game! Shirts will also be worn at other sporting events throughout the year. Show some Rochester School Spirit and order here. Order deadline is Monday, October 2.
PHYSICS CLUB INFORMATION
The Physics Club is sponsoring an Egg Drop Competition on Tuesday, October 3 after school. You can sign up on the Physics Club Canvas Page and see Mrs. Boyer for details.
FCA MEETING INFORMATION
FCA will be having a meeting this Sunday, October 1 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the RAC. All students are welcome to attend.

EUROPE TRIP INFORMATION
There is still room and time to sign up for the upcoming Europe trip to Greece. Students, parents, and friends are welcome to travel on this Educational Tour during July 2024. If the opportunity interests you, please email either Ms. Bilyeu or Ms. Wycoff for more information soon! The price for new enrollees will increase on October 1.
3RD ANNUAL COLOR BLAST 5K - RHS JUNIOR CLASS - PROM FUNDRAISER
Please help the RHS Junior Class raise money for this year's Prom by participating in the 3rd Annual Halloween Color Blast 5k Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the JFL Fields at the Rochester Community Park! This event is open to the public and will be fun for ALL ages! Please read the waiver for this event and check the box on the registration form. AUDIO ESSAY CONTEST
The Rochester VFW is sponsoring the Voice of Democracy audio essay contest. Winners can receive scholarship monies at the local post, district, state, and national levels. Please see Mr. Fitzgerald in Room 1135 for an entry form and more information. Entries are due to Mr. Fitzgerald by October 31.
FINANCIAL AID NIGHT
SENIORS: Financial Aid Night will be held on Wednesday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the HS Fine Arts Auditorium.
2023-2024 RHS YEARBOOKS ON SALE NOW
The 2023-2024 RHS Rocket Yearbook is on sale now for $67.00 until September 15, the price will increase after this date. ALL sales for books will be online this year. PARKING
If you plan on driving a vehicle to school this year, you must fill out the parking survey and pay the parking fee. If you have not already completed the survey, please do so ASAP, Rochester HS Parking Survey. Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. Also, all students that park in the back lot will be required to enter through the MPR doors. Students should not be entering any of the other doors on the back side of the HS. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office.
RHS PTO INFORMATION
You can make a donation at PayPal - (RHS PTO @rhsrocketspto) OR you can visit our Amazon Wish List at RHS PTO Wish List. The money collected helps buy supplies for the school and helps provide meals for Parent/Teacher conferences and treats during Teacher Appreciation Week. Any donation is greatly appreciated!

Though the Spring Semester is far away, it’s never too early to start planning. DENTAL EXAM VISIT AT SCHOOL
The Rochester School District will be hosting Miles of Smiles, Ltd., a mobile dentist program. Miles of Smiles provides preventative dental services in our school to eligible students in all grades. If you are interested in the program, please complete the linked form and return to your school nurse as soon as possible. A copy of this form can be sent home with your student by request. Please return completed forms by 9/29/2023. Contact your school nurse, see attached Miles of Smiles Info Sheet, or checkout the Miles of Smiles Website for additional information.

Please make sure that doctor’s notes are being brought to Mrs. Lessman in Student Services after the appointment.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT
If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit RHS RSchool to register your athlete. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes.
