GENERAL INFORMATION
RHS OPEN HOUSE INFORMATION
On Wednesday, August 23, we will host our annual High School Open House. Please park in the lot between the RHS Auditorium and the football field. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. and we will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Parents and staff will gather in the Auditorium. Following the large group meeting, you will get the opportunity to attend a 5-minute “snapshot” from your student’s schedule for both “A” and “B” days. Please bring your student’s schedule with you and we will have campus maps available. RHS Open House Letter to Families
CLASS OFFICER APPLICATIONS
If you are interested in being a class officer for this school year, please complete the attached application and essay by Monday, August 28 at 10:00 a.m. Class Officer Application

RHS riders on Bus #3, #4, #5, & #7 please wait in the HS cafeteria until your shuttle bus comes to pick you up and take you home. PLEASE DIRECT ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING LATE BUSES TO THE BUS GARAGE. THEY CAN BE REACHED AT (217) 498-9834.
SCHOOL PICTURES
High School Student Pictures will be taken again today, Tuesday, August 22 during students' PE classes. If your student does not have PE this semester, they will go during their Rocket Time. All students (including seniors) and staff members should plan on having their picture taken for their ID cards. Families can place an order before Picture Day to receive free shipping to the school. PARKING
If you plan on driving a vehicle to school this year, you must fill out the parking survey and pay the parking fee. If you have not already completed the survey, please do so ASAP, Rochester HS Parking Survey. Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. Also, all students that park in the back lot will be required to enter through the MPR doors. Students should not be entering any of the other doors on the back side of the HS. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office.
ROCKETWEAR FUNDRAISER
Habit 4 - Think Win-Win - Grab some new Rocketwear AND support the RJHS PTO so they can continue supporting our students and staff! Orders can be placed until August 27. Pick up will be at RJHS on Sept. 11 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. LINK TO PURCHASE
RHS PTO INFORMATION
The RHS PTO is wanting to let you know of an easy way to donate to our organization. RHS does not use Supply Lists like the younger grades, so the RHS PTO helps collect items for HS teachers to start the year. You can make a donation at PayPal - (RHS PTO @rhsrocketspto) OR you can visit our Amazon Wish List at RHS PTO Wish List. The money collected helps buy supplies for the school and helps provide meals for Parent/Teacher conferences and treats during Teacher Appreciation Week. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
RHS HOMECOMING PARADE INFORMATION
This year’s Rochester High School Homecoming Parade will be on Wednesday, September 20 at 5:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “USA/American Patriotism”. To sign up your sport/club/business, please fill out the form at: Homecoming Parade Sign Up Link.
DEBATE CLUB INFORMATION
The Debate Club will be starting up soon and we will have an Introduction Meeting on Thursday August 24 at 3:15 p.m. in Mrs. Bilyeu’s Room (1092). Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting. We will be going over the format of upcoming debates, rules of the club, debate topics, etc.
PHYSICS CLUB INFORMATION
If you would like to join the Physics Club, please scan the QR codes that are on posters around the school. We will most likely start with an Egg Drop Competition. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Boyer in Room 3156.
DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS CLUB INFO
The Dungeons N Dragons Club will have an informal sign-up meeting on August 29 at 3:15 p.m. in Mrs. Meredith’s Room (3165). Please see the signs around the building for more information.

ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES

If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit RHS RSchool to register your athlete. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes.
