BOYS TENNIS PARENT MEETING
There will be a Mandatory Parents Meeting on Wednesday, March 15 @ 4:30 p.m. in the HS Commons.
SPANISH CLUB SALSA NIGHT
Salsa Night has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 1, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Remember, only RHS students are allowed. The event is free for Spanish club members, and $5 for non members. We hope to see you all there!

GENERAL INFORMATION
KLEENEX DRIVE - WIN DOUGHNUTS FOR YOU 1ST HOUR CLASS
We are hosting a Kleenex Drive to collect boxes of tissues for teachers' classrooms. So, the 1st hour class that brings in the most boxes of tissues will win Krispy Kreme doughnuts for their class. We will be collecting boxes this Wednesday and Thursday, March 15-16.

CLUB PICTURE DAY - WEDNESDAY - 3.15.23
Pictures for Clubs and Organizations will be taken this Wednesday, March 15 from 9:30-11:40 in the MPR. We will be making announcements over the intercom, so please listen for when you should head to the MPR for pictures. Please see the attached schedule - Club Picture Day Schedule for Students.
ROCKET RALLY - THURSDAY - MARCH 16
Theme: Purple Out-- Please wear purple on Thursday, March 16 to support the fight against Cancer and to Support our Own Landen Lipka and Lynn Leach.
Fundraiser: Please bring your money/spare change and drop it in the donation bin that will be brought around to Rocket Times this week (March 13-17) and also in the cafeteria during both lunches. - All money raised will be donated to Landen!
SENIOR CLASS PHOTOS NEEDED
Attention Seniors and Senior Guardians: Each year for graduation a video is created and shown before graduation. We are asking that each senior provide one baby or toddler age (1-3 years old) picture and one senior picture by March 17, 2023 for the video. Photos can be digital or hard copy. BAND BOOSTERS SPRING APPAREL SALE

RHS CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS
The 2023-2024 Rochester High School Cheerleading Tryouts will be held on March 28, 29 and 31. Anyone interested in going out for the team should email Coach Wagner at awagner@rochester3a.net by Friday, March 17. There will also be a Mandatory Parent Meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the team on Monday, March 27 at 5:30 p.m. via Google Meet. A link will be sent out closer to the parent meeting date. Please check the Orange and Blue flyers posted around the school for more details! EGG YOUR HOUSE FUNDRAISER!
The Rochester High School Cheerleading Team will be hosting the Egg Your House Fundraiser again this year! Please use the attached link to sign up for your Candy Filled Egg Delivery! Sign up ends Friday, March 31 at 3:00 p.m. Eggs will be delivered to all Rochester School District addresses on Saturday, April 8 starting at 9:00 a.m. Pick up option will also be available on April 7 at the High School from 12:00-4:00 p.m. (please indicate pick up option in comment section of form). HS STOCK TRADING COMPETITION
The UIS College of Business and Management is sponsoring a high school stock trading competition only available to Rochester High School students. The game starts on Monday, March 13 and will end on Friday, May 5. All the information about their competition is on the attached file and all questions about the game should be directed to the UIS instructors. There are cash prizes for the top 3 Rochester HS students: 1st Place-$1,000, 2nd Place-$500 and 3rd Place-$250. All Rochester High School students are welcome to join the stock market game.
ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS - DEADLINE, 3/31/23
Yearbook Senior Recognition Ads are a great way for parents, families and friends to commemorate student achievements and important milestones. In addition, revenues from recognition ads help our school to create a better yearbook. To purchase your ad online, follow the instructions on the attached FORM and then click on the LINK to order. Scroll down to the box that says "Yearbook Recognition Ads" and follow the steps. There is also a YouTube Instructional Video that may be helpful to watch before placing your order. Jostens is managing your school's yearbook ad sales, so please do not contact or send materials to the school. Please take into account our school's ad content guidelines on the bottom of the attached form during the creation of your ad online. All ad orders must be placed online by 3/31/2023.
PERFORMING ARTS SUMMER CAMPS
SAVE THE DATES! Performing Arts Summer Camps are returning to Rochester. PAC@ROCHESTER will hold three week long camps this year instead of two camps. Mark your calendar for the weeks of July 10, 17 and 24. Plan to attend one, two or all three camps! Registration will begin in late March. Please email Mr. Bauser with any questions at bbauser@rochester3a.net Initial registration will be for Rochester School District students first before opening registration to the general public.

Knight’s Action Park is interviewing for jobs in all departments – Lifeguarding, Cashiers, Concessions, Maintenance and Ride Operators. Students (age 16 and above) can apply at the golf range from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 pm – 7 days a week.

Happy 2023! The RHS PTO is wanting to let you know of an easy way to donate to our organization. You can make a donation at PayPal - (RHS PTO @rhsrocketspto) OR you can visit our Amazon Wish List at RHS PTO Wish List. If you order from Amazon, the items will be shipped directly to the school. The money collected helps buy supplies for the school and helps provide meals for Parent/Teacher conferences and treats during Teacher Appreciation Week. Any donation is greatly appreciated!

DOCTORS NOTES
Please make sure that doctor’s notes are being brought to Mrs. Lessman in Student Services after the appointment. The note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE to a doctor excused absence - AD. Students are only allowed 6 AE absences in a school year. After 6 excused absences they will be counted as unexcused absences- UU. Please contact Mrs. Lessman in Student Services if you have questions.
PARKING
Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. If you park in the wrong spot, it causes a chain reaction of students not being able to park in their assigned spot. Also, if you are driving to school, you must have a parking sticker posted in your vehicle. Please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office to purchase a sticker.
ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES
SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT
If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit RHS RSchool to register your athlete. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
