The RHS Prom “A Night Under the Sun” will be held on Saturday, May 4 from 8:00-11:00 p.m. at the Artisans Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Tickets are $30.00 each and will be sold online from Monday, April 15 - Thursday, May 2 at 12:00 p.m. (NOON). You can purchase your tickets at the 2024 Prom Ticket Link or scan the QR code on the prom posters around the school. If you have any questions regarding Prom please reach out to Mrs. Gunter or Ms. Seitz. 

The Annual RIS Fine Arts Festival will be held THIS Thursday, May 9th at the Rochester Intermediate School.  The festival will include performances by all of our 5th and 6th grade Bands and a theatrical production by the 6th Grade Swing Choir.  The event will also feature RIS student art displays and various hands-on Arts and Crafts Activities. 

The schedule of events:

4:30 - 6th Grade Swing Choir (Scenes/songs from “Willy Wonka")
6:00 - 5th Grade Band (be there at 5:40)
6:30 - 6th Grade Jazz Band (be there at 6:10)
6:50 - 6th Grade Band (be there at 6:10)

*As noted, all Band participants should report to the RIS Bandroom 20 minutes before their scheduled performance time!

All events is FREE and will be held at The Intermediate School:

*Various Food Trucks and other concessionaires will be selling items outside in the RIS Parking Lot. 

Pack those dance bags! Auditions for both the Rochester High School and Rochester Junior High School Rocket Poms teams will be held next week! 

Tryouts for the 2024-2025 Rocket Poms will be held at the Rochester Elementary 2-3 building May 13-17. Current 6th through 11th graders are encouraged to audition.

RJH applicants will attend clinics from 3:30-5:00 p.m. while RHS applicants will attend clinics from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

All clinics will be closed to spectators.  Tryouts will be judged on Friday, May 17. More specific details will be discussed with team candidates on Monday, May 13. Dancers should contact Coach Kramer at dkramer@rochester3a.net to discuss scheduling conflicts.

This is the last day of the 2023-2024 school year. It is a half-day for students/teachers institute day.

This day could change to May 29th pending if the district uses its last emergency weather day during the month of May.
