Surrounded by proud families, staff, and community members, the ceremony was a powerful reflection of the district’s Tradition of Excellence—a legacy upheld by each graduate walking across the stage.

The event was highlighted by student leadership and heartfelt moments. Valedictorian Brooke Zeibert and Salutatorian Maria Olson were recognized for their academic achievements, and the audience was inspired by thoughtful addresses from Bailey Alexander, who delivered the welcoming remarks, and Olivia Sheehan, who gave the commencement address. Their words echoed themes of perseverance, unity, and readiness for the future.Rochester High School Students at commencement

The Rochester High School Madrigals enhanced the atmosphere through a special musical number that highlighted the seniors who were graduating.

This year’s class includes students headed to universities, trade programs, the workforce—and several who have proudly committed to serve in the United States military, including the Marine Corps, Air Force, and Army Reserves. Their dedication reflects the strength of character and service that defines this exceptional group of graduates.

The Class of 2025 also achieved remarkable academic success, earning a scholarship grand total of $4,709,552. This impressive figure is a testament to their hard work, resilience, and the support of their families, teachers, and community.

The ceremony was filled with meaningful traditions that connect generations of Rockets. Principal Mr. Reed, who was this class’s elementary school principal in second grade, once again donned his signature Goofy hat and Mickey Mouse gloves—a familiar symbol of encouragement from their early school days. As he waved goodbye one last time, it marked a full-circle moment of care and continuity.

Acting Superintendent Suzanne Keller also addressed the Class of 2025, offering reflections and encouragement for their next chapter. In a cherished Rochester tradition, several staff and board members had the honor of presenting diplomas to their own children. Chad Kutscher, JR Boudouris, and Don Carley each shared that moment with their graduating senior, making the ceremony even more personal and memorable.

To preserve the memories of this special day, and as a special gift from the district, families are invited to view and download behind-the-scenes photos.
