ROCHESTER, IL – The prestigious 2024 Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame has recently unveiled its latest inductees, and among them is the esteemed former girls' basketball coach and current high school athletic director, J.R. Boudouris, from Rochester.


Boudouris, who stepped down from his coaching role at the conclusion of the last season, leaves behind an enduring legacy marked by an impressive record of 463 wins and 168 losses over a remarkable span of 20 seasons. His coaching journey included notable stops at Carrolton and Pana before he took the helm at Rochester.

Notably, during his coaching tenure Boudouris achieved the remarkable feat of never having a losing record throughout his illustrious career. His coaching prowess is further underscored by a commendable list of accomplishments, including 13 regional victories, four sectional triumphs, and a memorable journey to the 2004 Class A state quarterfinals.

The pinnacle of his coaching career came with two impressive runner-up finishes in the Class 3A category, achieved in the years 2015 and 2017. These achievements not only speak to Boudouris' strategic acumen but also highlight his ability to consistently lead his teams to success on the court.
