Rochester CUSD superintendent inducted in ELI

We are proud to announce that Rochester CUSD 3A Superintendent Dr. Dan Cox was inducted into the Education League of Illinois (ELI). During their 143rd annual meeting, the ELI welcomed Cox, along with several other superintendents, who joined the oldest order of educational professionals in the state. The 142-year-old organization is a group of educational leaders who go above and beyond to promote learning, share collective expertise, and advance educational interests in Illinois.

“I’m honored to be part of an organization with such a rich history!” Cox said at his induction. “These are the men and women of the state who dedicate their lives to helping the rising generation become the leaders of tomorrow, and I am honored to join them and bring their collective knowledge to help students in Rochester CUSD,” Cox added.

Cox was inducted into the professional organization during the league's annual meeting at the Annual Joint Conference of the Illinois Association of School Administrators, Illinois Association of School Board Members, and Illinois Association of School Business Officials.

The ELI was organized and founded on December 29th, 1880. Cox holds a Doctor of Education degree he received from Illinois State University in 2020. He assumed his role as superintendent at Rochester CUSD 3A in May of 2020, shortly after obtaining his degree. With 13 years of experience working as a superintendent and more than 24 years of experience as an educator and school administrator, Cox brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his position."
